This is the homepage of the Spartans, the West Springfield (Virginia) High School Crew.  Rowers attend West Springfield High School.  We are members of the National Capital Area Scholastic Rowing Association, which is the sponsor for most of our local regattas. For a review of the current rules for regattas at the Occaquan, refer to Rules.

We practice primarily on the Occoquan Reservoir at Sandy Run Regional Park. Other sites include the upper and lower Potomac, the Schuykill River in Philadelphia, PA, St. Andrews School in Middleton, DE and Mathews in the Tidewater area.
Spartan Crew is a spring sport, and varsity letters are awarded. 2000 will be our twelfth season.

the booster club

Crew is a club sport, sponsored by the West Springfield Boosters Club, Inc. The Crew club works year round in fund-raising efforts for support of our annual operatng expenses and new equipment purchases. To learn more about what is needed and how you can help, visit these pages.
